My client, a large asset manager, is looking for an Interim Business Analyst with experience in Financial Markets (Mid and Back Office).
My client, a large asset manager, looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Interim Business Analyst with solid experience in the Financial Markets (Mid- and Back-Office) to temporarily strengthen an Agile team supporting the Mid- and Back Office, consisting of a business analyst, business users and developers.

The team focus in the coming period is twofold

• The replacement of the current middleware platform (Tibco) to an AWS cloud based solution. This requires a redesign and implementation of a significant amount of interfaces that are owned by the Mid Office, such as loading positions and margins for centrally cleared derivatives provided by clearing members in Blackrock Aladdin;
• The majority of Mid-Office processes at the asset manager are supported by Blackrock Aladdin. In a number of cases functionality in the application does not suffice and solutions are created in Excel and / or legacy tooling. These processes need to be redesigned also taking new business requirements into account.

The focus of the assignment is to analyze processes, define business requirements and design functional solutions together with the team.

• Business Analyst with proven experience (minimum 5 years) in the Financial Markets, especially related to mid- and back-office processes, such as settlements, corporate actions and reconciliations;
• Experience (minimal 5 years) in analyzing processes, applications and interfaces, requirements gathering and solution design;
• Knowledge of AWS technologies, Blackrock Aladdin and Power BI is considered a pre.

• Able to take a helicopter view, and advice over business processes, whilst also able to perform detailed analysis where required;
• Able to cooperate with users to acquire requirements and to translate these to developers;
• Able to test changes, and to coordinate User Acceptance Testing;
• Used to work in an Agile environment;
• Able to work with colleagues with multiple cultural backgrounds who are partly off shore;
• Fluent in English, preferably Dutch speaking;

The consultant is expected to start ultimately Sep 1. The length of the assignment is initially until for 6 months, and is expected to continue well into 2023.
The asset manager has opened its offices again and is operating in a hybrid modus. The consultant is expected to work parttime in the office in, and parttime from home.
