This is an exciting opportunity to join a retail manufacturer - we are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to lead our design team to research and develop new products and systems within the Automation industry.
Manage and develop the Design Engineering team
Working in collaboration with our Technical Team to undertake analysis as required on existing products to continuously improve and implement product efficiency, costs, and overall performance of the product.
Working in a collaborative manner with our Technical and Marketing teams for the ongoing improvement of the product portfolio
Create factory drawings and instructions for product control along with the training of manufacturing operatives
Product failure investigations and root cause investigations identifying the correction action required.
Proven experience of a product design environment
Fluent use of CAD systems
You will need great communication skills, be self-motivated, energetic and proven influencing skills with the confidence in challenging the status quo.
