Creation of documentation and material specifications
Cross-departmental cooperation and coordination of information between internal departments (production, mechanical and electrical design, research and development)and external suppliers
Structural design and selection of assemblies and components taking into account the technical specifications
Creation of circuit diagrams and virtual 3D wire harness models using drafting tools, Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) or other software/systems
Researches, designs, installs, tests, analyzes, and maintains electrical products, equipment, systems and processes
Participation from the creation of initial concepts to the prototyping, debugging and manufacturing phases
Developing of SPS-Software and optimization of existing software solutions
Defining and managing project timelines and costs

Lei Shen never gets bored while working at Liebherr. As homologation specialist, she is responsible for the world’s biggest cranes and their approval procedure in total. High technical understanding, intercultural competence and the huge individual responsibility are the most fascinating parts of Lei’s work within the Liebherr Group.
Possible competencies you will use in this area section:
Ability to communicate efficiently with ease to a large cross-functional audience
Ability to work independently as well as in teams
Technical education (specialized in the area of mechatronic and/or electronics) or completed studies (information technology, electrical engineering or comparable degree with corresponding work experience)
Several years of relevant work experience (Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Informatics) as technician or engineer
Familiar with E-CAD-/CAD-Systems and applicable software
Knowledge of MS Office applications
Good technical knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics or mechanics

In a joint research and innovation project, development engineers at Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH worked together with scientists from the Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden) to design a new control concept. The goal was simple: to simplify complexity. For this development process, “out-of-the-box” thinking was essential. In close cooperation between Liebherr-Hydraulikbagger GmbH and various departments at TU Dresden, communication between humans and machines as well as between machines was investigated and completely reconceived. With INTUSI, the intuitive user interface, Liebherr is now entering a new era of machine communication, and revolutionizing machine communication for construction machinery and material handlers.
