Repair Engineer performs repair of defective boards of Supermicro products, identifies failure root cause of defective boards for production line yield rate improvement. Besides, also join SMT/PCBA assembly line to early dig out production issue, to reduce failure rate and defective boards.
- Establish and configure test environments in alignment with incoming production volumes, meticulously monitoring and tracking Visual Inspection (VI) and Functional Test (FT) quality rates to ensure continuous improvement in product quality.
- Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for visual inspection and functional testing, ensuring strict adherence to inspection specifications and relevant documentation for consistent quality.
- Provide expert assistance to production operators, facilitating efficient troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered during manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
- Systematically report and track all identified problems, ensuring thorough documentation and effective resolution to drive continuous process improvement and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, and Quality Assurance to analyze test data, identify trends, and contribute to product design and process enhancements.
- Maintain and perform preventive maintenance for AOI equipment, develop and edit AOI programs and inspection standards, analyze equipment inspection efficiency, coverage rate, and false alarm rate, and continuously implement improvement actions.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in computer manufacturing, including motherboard production and/or Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for computer material inspection. Experience in AOI maintenance and model training parameter adjustment is highly preferred.
- Academic Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering), Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related technical fields. Candidates with relevant industry experience are preferred. Applicants holding only a diploma/certificate but possessing extensive hands-on working experience will also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Familiar with testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and diagnostic tools related to motherboard components and systems, as well as industry standards for hardware testing and validation.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Capable of analysing complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions in a fast-paced production environment.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a meticulous and disciplined approach toward inspection, documentation, and quality control to ensure consistent compliance with quality standards.
Teamwork and Communication Skills: Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams, engineering teams, and management.
