Founding Fullstack Engineer – meetcara.ai
At meetcara.ai, we’re developing an AI sales agent that’s changing how we do sales. We’re seeking a founding fullstack engineer to help shape the next phase of our company after successfully taking our product from 0-1.
As the first developer to join our team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact. We’re in full building mode, which means you’ll be deeply involved in all aspects of our product development. Your code will form the foundation of our platform, and your decisions will influence our technical direction for years to come.
We are a small team so every line of communication is short, we want to keep it that way. We move extremely fast and build our stack so we can keep moving fast (good DX and confidence to keep deploying). We are beyond the MVP stage so we know a lot more about what is needed in the near future meaning we have room to build a solid foundation.
Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Fastify, tRPC, Prisma
Frontend: Next.js (pages router), React, TailwindCSS, tRPC
Design: Mainly Figma (some experience is handy)
Everything the light touches is your job description. As our founding engineer, your role will be comprehensive and evolving. You’ll be:
Architecting and implementing core features of our AI sales agent
UI/UX experience good enough to shop features without designs
Developing data pipelines and event queues for outreach and enrichment
Designing and optimizing our database structure across PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
Integrating external APIs to enrich data
Collaborating with the founders on product strategy and roadmap
3+ years of fullstack development experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
Experience with React and Next.js for frontend development (tailwindcss is a bonus)
Familiarity with tRPC is handy but needed, you can learn it in a day.
Experience with event processing and handling queues.
Working knowledge of LLMs, applying them etc.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL, (Elasticsearch, and Redis you can figure out)
Familiarity with some DevOps tooling
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
