Design and build high-performing, reliable solutions for high-throughput data systems using a variety of third-party and eBay internal libraries and frameworks
Work with other product teams across eBay
Balance strong ownership and teamwork
Research, innovate, deliver and grow
Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of software development experience
Solid understanding of the fundamentals
Committed to working in an agile environment
Be a strong proponent of and adhere to high quality standards
Proficiency in Java, with Scala a big plus
Strong foundation in Data Products and Tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, among others)
Proficiency in different data storages RDBMS and NoSQL
Proficiency in streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Storm)
