Location: Almere Internship 32–40 hours per week Start: February 2027 €500 internship allowance
Are you interested in process improvement, business analytics, and finding smarter ways of working? Would you like to gain hands-on experience within the energy storage industry while working on projects that have a real impact? Then this internship could be a great fit for you.
During this internship, you'll join the Service Improvement team within our Energy Storage Systems (ESS) business unit. You will support ongoing improvement projects and work on your own assignment with clear deliverables, while collaborating with colleagues from different departments across the organization.
You will support improvement initiatives across our Service organization and help identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and ways of working. Depending on the team's priorities, your activities may include:
Supporting the mapping, analysis, and improvement of Service processes and workflows
Collecting and analyzing operational and business data to identify improvement opportunities
Assisting with Service analytics, reporting, KPI development, and data quality improvements
Supporting the documentation and standardization of Service processes
Contributing to improvement projects, from generating ideas to supporting implementation and tracking progress
Working together with colleagues from different departments to gather information and coordinate activities

Besides contributing to ongoing projects, you will be assigned one main improvement project with clearly defined objectives and deliverables.
You enjoy analyzing challenges and finding practical solutions. You are curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to take initiative. You also recognize yourself in the following:

You are currently enrolled in an HBO programme, preferably in

Supply Chain Management or Logistics
Or a related study focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, or business analytics
You have an analytical and structured way of working
You are interested in process improvement and business analytics
You can work independently but also enjoy collaborating with others
You feel comfortable communicating with colleagues from different departments
You have experience working with Excel and an interest in data analysis
Experience with process mapping, Power BI, or continuous improvement methods is a plus, but not required
You have a good command of English. Dutch is a plus, but not required

During this internship, you'll work on real improvement challenges within our ESS Service organization. You'll receive guidance from experienced colleagues while having the freedom to take ownership of your own assignment.

You will join the Service Improvement team within Alfen's Energy Storage Systems (ESS) business unit.
The team focuses on improving key Service areas, including Spare Parts Management, Asset Management, Service Operations, and Service Analytics & Reporting. We work closely with colleagues from Field Service, Remote Support, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, and IT to translate operational challenges into practical improvements.
As an intern, you will become part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team and gain exposure to different business functions and a variety of improvement projects.
