For a bank I am recruiting for an Interim Accounting & Reporting Lead with experience in a complex accounting environment.
For a bank I am recruiting for an interim Accounting & Reporting Lead with experience in Banking and knowledge of Product Accounting, Financial Reporting, IFRS, Financial Markets and Lending products. The role is within the Specialized Transactional Accounting & Reporting Services (STARS) Circle of the Global Services (GS) department.
The expertise of the STARS Circle lies in managing Specialized Accounting & Reporting activities for different stakeholders on the following topics: Statutory Reporting, Product Accounting, Reconciliation (Intercompany / Cash), Prudential Reporting, Statistical or Regulatory Reporting and Management Accounting. It’s a cross-border team that is responsible to meet the Service Level Agreement targets towards the internationals location and works closely with various stakeholders, such as Business Partners, Tribes, Global Services Circles and International Business Shared Services locations. There is an Agile way of working.
You will lead the 10 financial accountant of the STARS Circle, act as the service owner and be responsible for managing all issues. You report to the Chapter Lead. The main goal of the assignment is to keep the accounting activities in control, improve the processes and relieve the Chapter Lead of different activities. Furthermore, you are responsible for:

• End-to-end services Accounting & Reporting and continuous improvement
• Alignment on (change) strategies and managing relationships
• Work closely with various stakeholders (Business Partners, Tribes, Global Services Circles) outside the Global Services department and also cross-circle
• Optimizing Data Quality within the processing chain but also across the business lines
• Making the Accounting & Reporting controls more generic and reusable, avoiding exceptions per business line

You are expected to take a leading role in the team, be able to convince and be persuasive. 60% of your activities are managerial. You have an end-to-end process mindset, identify interdependencies between processes easily and have a strong drive to optimize and improve.

• 8+ years of relevant work experience in a complex accounting environment
• University Degree in relevant field
• Ability to take a leading role within the team on different topics
• Proven experience in change projects and strong process management skills
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Financial Markets and Lending products, Product Accounting and Financial reporting
• Strong with MS Office and affinity with IT systems
• Ability to act and perform successfully in a fast-moving, Agile and international environment
