Healthcare Assistant – Flex Team - De MARQ
For geriatric rehabilitation and recovery
Healthcare Assistant – Flex Team
As a Healthcare Assistant (IG) within De MARQ's FlexTeam, you contribute to the recovery and well-being of our rehabilitation patients across various departments and locations. You assess what is needed, provide guidance, and identify changes, ensuring that every rehabilitation patient feels safe and well-supported.
De MARQ is the specialist in geriatric rehabilitation and recovery, with locations in Breda (Molengracht), Zevenbergen, and Etten-Leur. Our slogan 'De MARQ Makes More Possible' is a promise to rehabilitation patients and their loved ones to do everything in our power to achieve individual goals. We do this together – with approximately 300 colleagues and our core values of Together, Alert, Inventive, and Committed as our guiding principles. We are currently looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (Verzorgenden IG) for our. Here you have a fixed base of hours, but no day is the same: every shift brings new challenges, collaboration, and opportunities to make a real difference. A foundation to build on, a day to make a difference.
What are you going to do?
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (Verzorgende IG) in the FlexTeam, you work under a permanent contract at De MARQ, but are deployed flexibly at our locations in Breda, Zevenbergen, and Etten-Leur. This allows you to gain broad experience in geriatric rehabilitation, ranging from orthopedic to neurological and cardiological pathways. The FlexTeam ensures that we can continue to provide high-quality rehabilitation care, even during holidays, projects, or temporary staff changes. You are therefore not just replacing anyone; you are a permanent, experienced member of staff who supports teams, brings knowledge, and guarantees the continuity of care. No two days are the same, and that is precisely what makes the work valuable. You guide rehabilitation patients who are working on their independence and support them with personal care, daily tasks, and activities. You observe, identify changes in health or motivation, and consult with the team to continuously improve care.
Take Mr. Hassan, for example. He practiced with the physiotherapist during the day and is tired at the end of the day. You calmly help him shower and get ready for the night, pour him a cup of tea, and listen to his story. Thanks to your attention, he feels supported, relaxed, and motivated to continue working on his independence tomorrow.
In concrete terms, this means
Assisting with personal care and evening activities appropriate to the rehabilitation process;
Supporting and motivating rehabilitation patients during exercises and activities;
Identifying changes in behavior, health, or motivation and discussing them with the team;
Contribute to a safe, warm, and structured environment.
You work alternately at our three locations
Breda: modern rehabilitation departments within the Amphia Hospital;
Etten-Leur: residential care center Het Anbarg, a warm environment with spacious rooms and pleasant living rooms;
Zevenbergen: residential care center De Zeven Schakels, spacious ward on the second floor with a close-knit and dedicated team.
Wherever you work, you are part of one organization with the same vision, quality, and core values.
You are a committed Certified Nursing Assistant who loves variety and challenges. You have an eye for subtle signs, work well with others, and are not afraid to speak your mind to improve care. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where no two moments are the same. Because you decide when you work, you can choose an on-call contract or flexible deployment across locations with fixed hours. Which shifts you work? That is up to you!
Experience with complex somatic or rehabilitation care;
Flexible deployment within our three locations;
Available for 12 – 32 hours per week, including weekend shifts;
Willingness to follow additional training within the GRZ;
Ability to reach our locations independently;
Available as of January 1, 2026.
We offer you security and variety – the ideal balance between stability and freedom:
Contract with a fixed number of hours within the FlexTeam of De MARQ;
Salary € 2,811.51 – € 3,864.43 gross per month (based on 36 hours, FWG 40, VVT collective labour agreement), including 13th month and 29 vacation days;
Autonomy in your work schedule and deployment planning;
Training opportunities in, among others, complex nursing procedures and transmural care;
Personal guidance and development discussions with our practical trainers;
A professional, collegial team where your expertise really counts.
