This role is a strong fit for someone with a solid analytical and statistical foundation who is eager to apply data science techniques to real engineering and business problems. You will work closely with engineers, machine learning engineers, and cross-functional teams to analyze data, develop predictive models, and generate insights that support product development and operational decision-making.
Advanced Data Collection and Analytics Design data collection and preparation strategies across multiple datasets and systems. Lead exploratory data analysis to uncover insights that influence engineering or product decisions. Develop reusable analytical pipelines and data science workflows.
Predictive Modeling and Machine Learning Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection. Evaluate and optimize model performance using statistical and machine learning techniques. Apply advanced modeling techniques to solve complex engineering or operational problems.
Develop dashboards and visualization tools that communicate analytical insights to leadership and technical teams. Present analytical findings in a clear and actionable format. Translate complex analysis into business and engineering recommendations.
Partner with engineering, software, and product teams to implement analytical models into production systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytics can improve product performance or operational efficiency. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts.
Bachelor’s with 5+ years, Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 0+ years of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages. Experience working with large datasets, data science libraries, and complex analytical problems. Experience using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Strong communication and data storytelling skills. Ability to work independently on analytical projects and influence technical decisions. Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to travel 10% to 25% to customers, conferences, partner locations, and TE development sites.
