About the role
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the safe, coordinated execution of all construction tie-ins and upgrades to the existing Stage 1 concentrator, including crushing, screening, and direct feed ore distribution and associated utilities and NPI facilities. The role has a strong brownfields and shutdown execution focus, ensuring construction activities are meticulously planned, scheduled, and integrated within approved Stage 1 shutdown windows whilst minimising disruption to ongoing operations. The coordinator works closely with the Expansion Project Construction Manager and Area Managers to align construction execution works with operational constraints and readiness.
Key responsibilities

Lead detailed tie-in planning aligned with site shutdown schedules and operating constraints

Work closely with contractors, shutdown planners and on-site projects team to develop shutdown-ready work packs, task sequences, logic ties, and critical path activities

Validate construction readiness for shutdowns, including materials, parts, labour, equipment, plants, permits, isolations, and contingency planning

Manage day-by-day execution of tie-in works during shutdowns to achieve planned scope within the approved window

Supervise execution of mechanical, piping, electrical, structural, and communications system tie-ins

Coordinate works across multiple locations and active operational interfaces

Ensure tie-in activities comply with approved drawings, isolation procedures, and commissioning requirements

Resolve field-based constructability and interface issues collaboratively with Engineering and Operations

Act as the primary interface with on-site projects team, shutdown team, operations, maintenance and expansion team

Ensure construction scopes are completed to required quality and inspection standards
About you

Degree or trade qualification in Engineering or Construction

Hold Schedule 26 statutory supervisor competency

Valid driver's license
-
Minimum 10–15 years brownfield construction experience in mining or heavy industrial environments

Strong understanding of isolation management, shutdown execution, and permit systems

Proven experience delivering brownfields tie-ins within operating mineral processing facilities

Demonstrated leadership during planned shutdowns and turnaround-style work scopes

Experience coordinating multi-discipline contractors across shutdown environment

Exceptional planning and execution discipline

Strong operational awareness and respect for live plant interfaces
