For a bank I am searching for an interim Project Manager KYC Solution with a strong understanding of AML, KYC, and data privacy, as well as experience in vendor selection, RFI/RFP processes, and proof-of-concept (POC) evaluation.
The current KYC application is being phased out and replaced, with the organization currently in the RFI/RFP stage. The assignment will have an initial term of 6-9 months, focusing first on vendor selection, RFI/RFP processes, and proof-of-concept (POC) evaluation (Phase 1). Subsequently, the focus will shift to implementation (Phase 2). The interim Project Manager will initially be responsible for Phase 1 and may also oversee Phase 2.
The objective of this assignment is to select and contract a KYC vendor.
_Vendor Selection & RFI/RFP/POC Execution:_
- Manage the Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Proof of Concept (POC) processes for selecting KYC solutions.
- Work with internal stakeholders to define selection criteria based on business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct due diligence, and perform comparative analysis to identify the best-fit solution.
- Coordinate proof-of-concept (POC) evaluations to ensure key success criteria are met.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with shortlisted vendors.
_Project Execution & Stakeholder Management:_
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables aligned with business and regulatory needs.
- Manage collaboration between cross-functional teams in alignment with the bank’s approach.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively managing issues and dependencies.
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables while maintaining quality control and adherence to the bank’s project management standards.
- Present project updates to senior leadership and steering committees.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
- Develop project teams and support the organization’s transition towards more agile work methodologies.
- Drive the development of change capabilities within the organization.
- Contribute actively to improving bank’s project management processes.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of KYC solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with ICT Teams, Enterprise Architecture, and Data Management to integrate KYC solutions within enterprise systems.
- Oversee system configurations, data migrations, and process automation to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance adherence.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the implemented solution aligns with evolving requirements.
Please note that for the KYC Implementation (Phase 2), it is not yet certain whether the bank will continue with an external resource.
The assignment is considered successful when a KYC vendor has been selected and contracted.
