What you can expect when applying
Apply quickly and easily using the button included in this vacancy. After receiving your application, we will carefully review your CV and motivation. For management positions, we take a little more time to ensure that we can properly assess whether your profile is a good fit. We will do our best to respond as soon as possible. Are we enthusiastic about your CV and motivation? Then we will invite you to an introductory interview.
You will meet two future colleagues, such as your future manager, direct colleagues or the recruiter. The aim of this interview is to learn more about your background, ambitions and competencies. We use the STARR method to discuss your experience through practical examples from your previous work and other activities. Naturally, we will also tell you more about the position, the team and TenneT as an organisation. A few days after the interview, we will call you to share our feedback.
During the second interview, we will explore the potential match in greater depth. You will meet two other colleagues, get to know each other better and discuss the role in more detail. We believe in being open and honest about what the job involves, so you know exactly what to expect. Is it a match? Then we will proceed with an offer.
For leadership positions, we believe it is important to gain further insight into your abilities, motivations and qualities. We will therefore invite you to complete an assessment. Beforehand, we will explain what the assessment involves and how it works. You will, of course, always have access to the results.
We will quickly present you with an attractive offer. You will receive a salary proposal and an overview of our employee benefits package.
Once you have signed your employment contract, there is one final step: the pre-employment screening. TenneT has a vital role in keeping the Netherlands powered 24/7. We must minimise the risk of disruptions as much as possible. That is why every employee is required to provide at least a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, VOG). If the screening reveals no concerns regarding your appointment, nothing will stand in the way of your first day.
For some positions, a VOG is not sufficient and a more extensive security screening is required, for example by the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD). You can only start working at TenneT once the required screening process has been successfully completed.
Once everything has been finalised, you will begin your onboarding at TenneT on the first working day of the month. You will spend two days with your new colleagues, discovering what TenneT stands for and how we work. You will learn all the ins and outs of our organisation. After that, your onboarding will continue within your team. Welcome!
