You will join an international DevOps platform team to improve automation and reliability in cloud‑native systems. From day one you'll work on real production environments, contributing to Kubernetes, microservices and CI/CD tooling. The six-month internship offers hands-on backend and cloud experience within agile teams across Rotterdam, Riga and Switzerland. You'll get mentorship from experienced DevOps and SRE engineers and opportunities to grow your technical skills and ownership.
Contribute to automation and operational tooling around Kubernetes and microservices
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and related technologies
Work on platform engineering tasks to improve reliability in production environments
Collaborate with DevOps and SRE engineers to troubleshoot and optimize systems
Apply backend and cloud development skills to real projects within agile teams using Scrum and SAFe
Participate in testing, deployment and monitoring activities to support platform stability

Be enrolled in the final year of a HBO or University program in Computer Science, Informatics or similar
Have hands-on knowledge of CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes
Have basic experience with Java and Git is a plus
Live in the Netherlands and be eligible to undertake a 6-month internship (non-EU students need to provide a NUFFIC Agreement)
Demonstrate an agile mindset and willingness to work in an international, cross‑site team
Be curious, responsible and able to communicate effectively in English
Be available for the internship period starting 1 February 2027 and commit to full-time participation

810 € gross monthly allowance for full-time interns
Provide IT equipment for the internship
