Vacancy: Groundworker Noord-Nederland

Our client is an experienced family business that has been active in engineering and infrastructure for almost 100 years. With around 180 employees, the company works on the installation and maintenance of cables, pipes and technical systems.
Traditional craftsmanship is combined with modern techniques. You will join an organisation where teamwork, quality and safety are important and where you have the opportunity to develop your skills further.
What are you going to do?
As a groundworker, you will work with your colleagues on various projects in Noord-Nederland. You start the day with a good cup of coffee before heading out with your team. Together, you make sure that cables and pipes for utilities such as electricity, gas and water are installed safely.
You will work closely with an excavator operator and make sure the work is carried out properly and safely. No two days are the same, and you get to enjoy working outdoors.
Digging and backfilling trenches for cables and pipes
Locating and exposing existing cables and pipes
Assisting the excavator operator with excavation work
Helping to safely install electricity cables, gas pipes and water pipes
Working with a regular team on various projects

Who are we looking for?
You are a real go-getter who enjoys working outdoors. A little rain does not stop you, and you enjoy getting the job done together with your colleagues.
Have a category B driving licence and your own transport
Work accurately and pay attention to safety
Are a reliable colleague who enjoys teamwork
Have a VCA-Basis certificate or are willing to obtain one

Experience as a groundworker is a bonus, but certainly not a requirement. The right attitude and motivation will take you a long way!
What do we offer you?
Gross pay of €18.95 per hour
Travel allowance of €0.32 per kilometre
