Pllek has been hangout of the NDSM for more than 14 years. Chilling outside with a view of the city and the IJ, relaxing indoors in our chill corner, or enjoying a lovely dinner at the table: with us, it’s all possible. We have a large terrace and plenty of space inside, which means we can sometimes be the biggest restaurant in Amsterdam. Luckily, we’ve got a big kitchen to match. Dinners, bar snacks, large groups and BBQs — it all comes our way. And to keep it all running smoothly every day, we need you!
Being a Floormanager at Pllek
As our floor manager, you’re the leader and point of contact on the restaurant floor. You make sure your colleagues know exactly what their tasks are and how to carry them out. You’re just as skilled at the social side of hospitality as the organizational side. During your shift, you keep the team running like a well-oiled machine. Together with the restaurant manager and assistant manager, you form the daily management of the service team.

• Ideally, you’re available full-time. We’re looking for people who can fully commit and are ready to dedicate themselves to our team.
• You’re someone who takes action. You’re proactive and work in a goal-oriented way. When something needs to get done, you put your shoulder to the wheel.
• Fluent in Dutch & English: We’re an international environment, so a strong command of English is essential. You can communicate effectively in both Dutch and English.
• Collaboration is important at Pllek. You’re able to work well with others and make a positive contribution to the team.
• Experience in hospitality is a must for this role. We’re looking for someone familiar with the sector and the challenges that come with it. Management experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
