The tables are ready, and the first guests are coming in. You welcome them, take an order, and advise on a suitable drink. A little later, you serve the dishes and check if everyone is happy.

As a service staff member at Bistro Dapper, the à-la-carte restaurant at the Bonte Wever in Assen, you ensure a pleasant night out. You pay attention to your guests, work with your colleagues, and see what's needed. From the first hello to settling the bill: you help ensure every dinner goes smoothly.

From the first reservation to the last table

You start by setting up the restaurant. During the dinner service, you switch between service, the bar, and welcoming guests. You handle tasks such as:

preparing and setting up the restaurant;

taking phone calls and handling reservations;

welcoming guests and guiding them to their table;

taking orders;

advising on dishes and drinks;

preparing and serving drinks;

delivering dishes and clearing tables;

handling the bill and payments with guests;

maintaining the restaurant in a neat and tidy manner.

Hospitable, enthusiastic, and attentive to your guests

You easily connect with others and enjoy giving people a great evening. You notice when a guest needs something and help colleagues in busy times. Together, you ensure smooth service.

Moreover, it's important you

are at least 18 years old;

are motivated and eager to get to work;

are regularly available around dinner time;

work well with colleagues;

are willing to do a little extra for guests;

stand with a friendly and hospitable attitude at work.

Experience in hospitality or service is a plus.
