Senior Mechanic

For our custom machine building company, we are looking for a driven senior mechanic to assemble our machines in the workshop and at customer locations. With our enthusiastic team of technicians, we develop and build customer-specific machines, robotic solutions, and production lines. The entire process, from concept design and engineering to assembly and commissioning, is carried out in-house. Solicitation in response to this vacancy is not appreciated.
As a Senior Mechanic, you are an experienced professional with strong technical insight and a hands-on mentality. You are responsible for the execution and coordination of assemblies in the workshop, and you assist in coordinating daily operations. You are the linchpin between design, assembly, and delivery, actively participate in practical work, and monitor quality, planning, and safety.
What are you going to do?
In your role as Senior Mechanic, you combine independent technical work with coordinating tasks:
You perform high-quality assembly, setup, and adjustment of machines.
You liaise with engineering to efficiently implement technical solutions.
You monitor the progress, quality, and planning of assemblies in the workshop.
You provide practical instructions to colleagues and assist with prioritizing.
You oversee safety, quality, and efficiency during work activities.
You contribute to improvements in processes surrounding assembly and production.
You manage materials, tools, and inventory.
You liaise with project management and customers regarding progress and delivery.

Intermediate vocational education level, preferably in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar.
Experience with machine construction, assembly, and technical execution; you have already been active as a mechanic in technical settings for several years.
Strong practical skills, solution-oriented, and technically proficient.
You easily maintain an overview of complex tasks and can set priorities.
Hands-on attitude with an eye for detail and quality awareness.
Communicatively skilled — you enjoy working with engineers and colleagues.
Knowledge of production and safety standards is a plus, as is experience with welding or assembly.
