dave offers engineering services using our own dave software. The software is developed and maintained by dave Lab, engineering is performed by dave Engineering. This unique approach enables us to create qualitative deliverables in less time, while having fun doing it.
dave Engineering provides engineering designs and verifications for floating operations, such as transport on vessels, rigging for heavy lift, lashing calculations, etc. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is willing to guide our (junior) engineers.
Concepting, designing and engineering of operational engineering projects, performing structural calculations and analyses, defining design parameters, linear and non-linear analyses and assist with hydrodynamic calculations/analyses.
Make calculations and cad-models with software such as dave, Ansys, Solid Edge and Autocad – learning to use the available company software.
Give input to other team members for implementation of designs, or (budget) estimates and planning.
Support clients during follow-up phases, after engineering is completed.
Responsible for the application, adherence and implementation of all relevant company and ISO-procedures.

As Structural Engineer, your objective is to perform the necessary engineering in relation to the project awarded, or as instructed by Management. You will also manage (new) client relationships, based on your current level.

To ensure that, we adhere to the company and ISO procedures and, if necessary, we improve these. The Structural Engineer is a staff position within the organisation. You will report to the Management and are directly accountable to the Manager Projects.
Minimum HBO or bachelors degree (or similar) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering.
At least 4 years of relevant working experience in the Maritime and/or Offshore industry.
Good communicator, team player, flexible, knowledge of operational engineering, innovative, problem-solving, strong computer skills and knowledge of design software.
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
