Brent Tewissen (26), Procurement Buyer - Non Metals Brent has been working at Aurubis Beerse for almost three years as a Procurement Buyer – Non Metals. He is responsible for purchasing a wide range of materials and services while supporting major investment projects. In this role, he collaborates closely with colleagues from various departments and with suppliers. Axel Pollet (32), Lead Tin Operator Axel works as a Lead Tin Operator at Aurubis Beerse, where he is responsible for recycling and refining metals from the foundry into high-purity lead and tin. In the production hall, he monitors the entire process alongside his teammates and steps in when needed. Wim Van Meir (43), Environmental Expert As an Environmental Expert at Aurubis Beerse, Wim analyzes environmental data, supports projects, and contributes to environmental permit applications. Through his work, he helps drive continuous improvements in areas such as emissions, noise, and odour management. Lander Van Looy (25), AP Accountant - Analyst & Reporting Meet Lander, AP Accountant – Analyst & Reporting at Aurubis Beerse. Together with his colleagues, Lander ensures the accurate processing and follow-up of invoices and payments. In his role, he is in daily contact with various departments and suppliers, which brings a lot of variety and great collaboration. Onno Van Der Putten (53), Continuous Improvement Coordinator Meet Onno! As Continuous Improvement Coordinator, he helps teams improve processes and find sustainable solutions. It’s a role that brings him into contact with various departments within the company. Hanne Vervoort (31), Customer Service Analyst Meet Hanne! In July 2022, Hanne started as a Customer Service Analyst at Aurubis Beerse. She supports the customer operations team, prepares reports, and performs various checks. She also ensures that all administration runs smoothly for the sales of tin, lead, b‑grades, and anodes. Jonas Walbers (35) & Ben Leysen (38) at Aurubis Richmond Jonas Walbers and Ben Leysen worked for years at Aurubis Beerse. In the summer of 2024, they were assigned to Aurubis Richmond, our new secondary smelter in the United States. There, they are putting their knowledge and expertise from Beerse into practice, actively contributing to the development of the production facility, and growing professionally within an international Aurubis context. David De Pooter (40), Operator Facilities David werkt als Operator Facilities bij Aurubis Beerse. Hij staat mee in voor onze faciliteiten en het terreinonderhoud: van het beheer van het containerpark en afvalstromen over het vegen van pleinen tot de uitvoering van klusjes. Een afwisselende job waarin samenwerking en veiligheid centraal staan. Robbe Wouters (32), Foundry Operator Robbe werkt als Foundry Operator bij Aurubis Beerse en staat mee in voor het Gieterij proces: van insmelten, slakken gieten tot het leegtappen van ovens en het verplaatsen van materiaal. De combinatie van techniek, afwisseling en verantwoordelijkheid zorgt ervoor dat hij hier helemaal op zijn plek zit. Karel Docker (40), HSE & Sustainability Director Almost twenty years ago, Karel Docker began his career at Aurubis in Olen. Today, he is HSE & Sustainability Director, leading our teams responsible for safety, health, environment, and sustainability at the Belgian Aurubis sites in Beerse and Olen. Milan Laureyssen (20), Maintenance Mechanic Milan is Maintenance Mechanic bij Aurubis Beerse en zorgt er samen met zijn collega’s voor dat de machines en installaties veilig en vlot blijven draaien. Hij voert onderhoud uit, lost storingen op en vervangt onderdelen waar nodig. Een technische job vol variatie en uitdaging! Wesley Van Peer (29), Technical Operator Gas Cleaning Facilities Als Technical Operator Gas Cleaning Facilities controleert, onderhoudt en herstelt Wesley de filters en koelers om een veilige en duurzame productie te garanderen. Jonathan Put (29), Back Office Hedging As a Back Office Hedging colleague, Jonathan is part of our Finance team. In his role, he protects Aurubis Beerse from potential price risks. André Verstricht (60), Admin & Trainer Materials Handling Meet André! As Admin & Trainer Materials Handling, he ensures that (new) colleagues can quickly and safely get up to speed. Yannick Buyens (28), Health & Safety Advisor Since April 2023, he has been working as Health & Safety Advisor at Aurubis Beerse. He advises the various departments on the safety of his colleagues. In February, Yannick will start the training of Prevention Advisor Level 1. Celine Kolling (28), Reception & Shipping Clerk As a Reception & Shipping Clerk, Celine plays a vital role in managing incoming and outgoing shipments at Aurubis Beerse. Vincent Schueremans (37), Tankhouse Operator Ontmoet Vincent! In 2015 startte hij bij Aurubis Beerse als Tankhouse Operator. Nu werkt hij op onze nieuwe recyclagefaciliteit ASPA (Advanced Sludge Processing by Aurubis). Brent Rieberghs (26), Lead Tin Operator Maak kennis met één van onze operatoren: Brent! Sinds februari 2019 werkt hij bij Aurubis Beerse als Lead Tin Operator. Samen met zijn collega’s staat hij in voor de verwerking van lood en tin. Elise Venken (25), R&D Engineer As a school leaver, Elise started her career as an R&D Engineer in February. "At Aurubis Beerse, you get the chance to start your career strong," says Elise. Tom Neefs (31), Shift Supervisor Materials Handling Tom has been working at Aurubis Beerse since February 2013 and has since grown into the role of Shift Supervisor. Next month, he will begin his new position as Team Lead Materials. Dries Seuntjens (28), Digital Lean Transformation Manager Meet Dries! As a Digital Lean Transformation Manager, he is responsible for optimizing processes within Aurubis Beerse. This role brings him into contact with various departments within the company! Wannes Van Haver (31), Procurement Buyer Non-Metals Wannes has been working at Aurubis Beerse since December 2021 as a Procurement Buyer Non-Metals. Together with his colleagues, he is responsible for the procurement of non-metals goods and services. Mohamed El Khouchali (38), Operator Filters Als Operator Filters is Mohamed verantwoordelijk voor het onderhoud en de goede werking van de filterinstallaties. Hilde Wuyts (56), Accountmanager Raw Materials MMR (Multi Metal Recycling) Meet Hilde! As an Account Manager Raw Materials, she is jointly responsible for the procurement of secondary copper- and tin-containing raw materials. Mats Van Lissum (34), Foundry Operator Als Foundry Operator zorgt Mats voor het nauwgezette gietproces van anodes, met passie voor metaal en duurzame processen. Kevin De Vet (32), Sampling Coordinator Maak kennis met Kevin, een monsternamecoördinator bij Aurubis Beerse. Karl Guns (44), Project Manager Engineering Meet our colleague Karl. From electrician to project manager, he is an example of passion, growth, and dedication. Valerie Vandoninck (35), Business Controller Meet our colleague Valerie! The job of 'Business Controller' at Aurubis Beerse is a perfect fit for her. Lode Driessens (24), Operator Tankhouse Since September 2021, Lode has been working as an operator in the Tankhouse, a role that perfectly aligns with his passion for chemistry!
