Business Controller

Are you an experienced Business Controller who wants to make a real impact on strategic decision-making? In this role, you will translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations that directly contribute to the organisation’s growth and performance. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis and management reporting, while also playing an important role in further professionalising financial processes. With your analytical mindset and proactive approach, you will help drive the business forward.
For an internationally operating organisation within the energy transition, we are looking for an experienced Business Controller. The organisation plays an important role in the development and operation of charging infrastructure for electric mobility and is currently in a dynamic phase of growth.
Based at the head office in the Arnhem region, you will work with various departments to further improve the organisation’s financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
As Business Controller, you will be part of the FP&A team and act as a sparring partner for finance, operations, sales and management. You will translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations that enable the organisation to make better-informed decisions.
Coordinating and supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
Analysing financial results and explaining variances against budgets, forecasts and previous periods.
Preparing business cases, investment analyses and scenario models.
Advising stakeholders on financial risks, opportunities and improvement initiatives.
Supporting CAPEX planning and monitoring investment performance.
Developing management reports, KPI analyses and management information for senior management.
Identifying and implementing improvements in reporting, processes and systems.
Working with various departments to further optimise financial and operational performance.

You are highly analytical and inquisitive, with the ability to understand both operational details and strategic issues. You work in a structured and data-driven way and are motivated by improving processes and delivering change.
A completed master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
At least seven years of experience in Business Control, Financial Control, FP&A or a similar role.
Demonstrable experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business cases.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with ERP, EPM or BI systems such as Dynamics F&O, Lucanet, Power BI or similar solutions is an advantage.
An excellent command of both Dutch and English.

What does the organisation offer?
