Geotechnical Engineer

GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Location: Toronto / North Bay, Ontario

TRS Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure, energy, and resource sector projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to technically challenging assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute geotechnical and hydrogeological site investigations.

Perform engineering analyses related to slope stability, foundations, and earthworks.

Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

Support construction oversight and quality assurance activities.

Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.

Support mining, energy, and resource development projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering.

Eligible for Professional Engineer registration in a Canadian province.

Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.

Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation design.

Experience supporting mining, energy, or resource development projects.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Willingness to travel for field assignments within Canada and internationally.
