Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced freelance Civil Engineer to support the delivery of a major industrial infrastructure project in Germany. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical oversight, contractor coordination, and site-based project execution. Native-level or fully fluent German is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support detailed engineering and planning activities for civil and structural works.
• Prepare and review tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contractor submissions.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, technical specialists, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee construction quality, site activities, and commissioning support.
• Review project documentation, permits, and contractor invoices.
• Lead project meetings and manage key interfaces across disciplines.
• Maintain a full-time on-site presence during project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Knowledge of building services/HVAC systems is advantageous.
• Fluent German language skills are essential.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
