Your role in building our East Netherlands office
For our new office in East Netherlands, we are looking for experienced Senior Data/AI Engineers who not only deliver complex projects, but also play an important role in the continued growth of Datacation in the region. Together with colleagues in East Netherlands, the other Datacation offices, and our domain leads, you will help build a strong local foundation, way of working, and quality standard.
Datacation is the data and AI partner where expertise, quality, and ownership are central. We help organizations use data structurally for better decision-making, from strategy and architecture to implementation and adoption.
Over the past five years, we have grown into a team of more than 50 colleagues, working from our offices in Eindhoven and Amsterdam, and soon also in East Netherlands.
As a Senior Data/AI Engineer, you play a key role in challenging data and AI projects. You combine technical depth with coaching and help colleagues and clients make the right decisions. You are a technical go-to expert, contribute to architecture discussions, and guide projects from design to implementation.
Translating business challenges into scalable data and AI solutions.
Acting as a technical sparring partner for clients, consultants, and engineers.
Designing and building modern data and AI platforms in Azure.
Supporting architecture decisions, scope definition, and technical decision-making.
Working on modern data and AI challenges, for example in the areas of GenAI, AI Agents, RAG, and MLOps.
Structuring projects and helping define deliverables and implementation approaches.
Actively contributing to the development of junior and medior colleagues.
Collaborating with Business Development to translate client needs into technical solutions.
Actively contributing to knowledge sharing within Datacation.
Presenting technical solutions and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Making an active contribution to the further development of our new office in East Netherlands.

What do we expect from you?
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, machine learning, and/or MLOps.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, Python, SQL, data modelling, and modern AI tooling, focused on building production-ready solutions.
Experience guiding and coaching colleagues.
The ability to explain technical choices clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
A proactive attitude and entrepreneurial mindset.
