Beeminds is looking for a Data Architect to design the architecture of the Intelligenthive® on Microsoft Fabric and shape how the platform is built at our clients. Not on paper, but in production.
You decide how the Intelligenthive® gets built. Not on paper, but in production. Beeminds builds data platforms on Microsoft Fabric for growing organisations with data and AI ambitions. Our clients work in fund and asset management, manufacturing, logistics, business and financial services, and the non-profit sector. They want a single source of truth and data that’s ready for AI. You design the architecture that makes it possible.
In this role you work on both the further development of our platform and client implementations. You keep up with the latest on Microsoft Fabric, go to events and turn what you learn into standards that let every client go live the same way.
As a Data Architect, you’re the link between what the client needs and the technology underneath. You design the architecture of the Intelligenthive® on Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, pipelines and notebooks) and the connections to source systems such as SAP and REST APIs. You build dimensional data models following Kimball, which Power BI and AI applications run on directly. You set up environments, CI/CD and governance so that every client implementation is rolled out the same way, and you make data AI-ready, with Azure AI Foundry as the next step. You also coach engineers, review their work and safeguard quality. You sit at the table with the client yourself: you ask the questions that determine what’s really needed, and you say so when something doesn’t fit.
This vacancy is open to two profiles
you’re already a Data Architect. You have at least five years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, including at least two as an architect or technical lead, and you’ve designed platforms that run in production.
you’re a senior Fabric Engineer who wants to grow. You already build on Microsoft Fabric and help shape the design, but haven’t held an architect role yet. You’ll get architectural responsibility on real client cases with an experienced architect beside you, coaching and reviews from our CTO and founder, and a budget for training and certifications. On this route, attitude counts for more than your CV.
What do you bring to us?
Microsoft Fabric in production, not just in a proof of concept.
Strong Python and SQL, and you know PySpark.
Dimensional modelling (Kimball) and CI/CD with Git.
Hands-on experience with data governance and the GDPR.
You can explain technical choices to people who aren’t engineers.
Nice to have: Power BI and Microsoft Purview, experience with SAP data, Azure AI Foundry, MLOps or agent architectures, Microsoft certifications such as DP-600 or DP-700, and experience in one of our sectors.
Fluent Dutch and good English.
A good salary that matches your knowledge and experience, plus paid holidays.
Your choice: an (Dutch rail pass), mileage allowance, e-bike or lease car.
Pick your own laptop and mobile device. A new device every year through with the right specs.
Part of your working time is for self-study, side projects and knowledge sharing. We run hackathons and bring in speakers.
for training, (international) conferences, events or a you want to try out. No complicated approvals.
No politics: everyone is free to say anything. Our core values BeeTogether, BeeHonest and BeeDifferent are more than a poster on the wall.
Flexible hours: run your errands, skip the traffic and properly switch off on holiday. Work from home, in Naarden or Heerlen, at the client or now and then from abroad.
Colleagues who challenge you, support you and value good work. In an informal atmosphere, with team outings, lunches, knowledge sessions, drinks and events.
What you build gets used. By clients and in our platform.
- By phone, on Teams or at the office.
- We talk about our direction and your ambitions.
- You meet your colleagues and see the work.
- Both excited? Then we make you an offer.
No rush: we help you think through your questions, such as a non-compete clause. Once you’ve signed, your onboarding in the Intelligenthive® begins.
