🔎 Role summary
We are currently looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer to join a development team working closely with a large international client environment.
The engineer will contribute to the maintenance, improvement, and automation of a hybrid DevOps platform combining on-premises and cloud-based Azure DevOps infrastructure.
This role focuses strongly on platform reliability, CI/CD standardisation, and infrastructure automation rather than application development.
⚙️ Key responsibilities
- Maintain and improve Azure DevOps Server and Azure DevOps Services environments
- Support and evolve CI/CD pipelines and build/release infrastructure
- Design and implement automated deployment and configuration processes
- Support daily operational activities (deployments, server/app support)
- Define and maintain standard deployment procedures
- Monitor and optimise CI/CD platform performance and reliability
- Conduct technical reviews and contribute to deployment architecture design
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
- Improve automation and consistency across environments and teams
🧠 Required experience
- University degree in IT or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT environments
- 5+ years in IT operations / infrastructure roles
- 3+ years experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps strongly preferred)
- Experience with:
- Azure DevOps Server (administration, maintenance, agent lifecycle)
- Azure DevOps pipelines (design, templating, maintenance)
- 3+ years working in Agile environments
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, at least 1 year)
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and automation practices
- Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
🛠️ Technical skills
- Azure DevOps Server & Azure DevOps Services
- CI/CD pipeline design, templating, and optimisation
- Azure DevOps agents lifecycle management
- Terraform (modules, automation, infrastructure design)
- Build & release management frameworks
- Infrastructure automation and deployment tooling
- Monitoring and operational support of DevOps platforms
⭐ Nice to have
- RHCSA / RHCE
- Terraform Associate or advanced Terraform certification
- Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
- Exposure to hybrid government / enterprise IT landscapes
🧭 Environment
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary DevOps and development team supporting a large-scale enterprise platform with strong focus on reliability, governance, and standardisation.
The environment includes:
- Hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud)
- Mature CI/CD systems
- High emphasis on stability and automation
- Close collaboration between infrastructure and development teams

💼 Rate & Engagement

- Daily rate: €540 per day (based on 40 hours per week)
