OCTA Farmacie Groep is accelerating the future of pharmaceutical care. Built on a mission that has been evolving since 2008 and gaining strong momentum since 2023, the organisation is a powerful player in the Dutch pharmaceutical infrastructure, connecting procurement, distribution and pharmacies.
Its scale provides control, while its decentralised approach offers flexibility. This enables pharmacists and their teams to excel in what truly matters: delivering the best possible care for every patient. Driven by ambition, the organisation invests in its people—they make the difference, today and tomorrow.
The Manager Planning & Control reports directly to the Finance Director and shares responsibility for managing, further developing and continuing to professionalise the finance organisation.
The core challenge within Finance lies in creating a tightly organised, largely automated financial operation. This means delivering an accurate and predictable accounting environment, meeting strict deadlines, streamlining processes and ensuring that the year-end reporting cycle runs smoothly, efficiently and to a first-class standard.
: A hands-on finance leader who operationally manages the finance organisation while elevating the planning & control cycle within OCTA to a higher level of maturity.

Daily management of the finance team, including coordination of activities, coaching and quality control;
Responsible for the financial administration of the BU Holding entity;
Driving process improvements, standardisation, automation and further digitalisation within Finance;
Actively contributing to transformation projects, including system harmonisation, ERP implementations (NetSuite and Lucanet) and the integration of acquired pharmacies;
Hands-on improvement of the administrative and financial operations;
Strengthening risk management, internal controls and audit readiness.

Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accountancy or similar);
Approximately 7 to 12 years of relevant experience, including several years in a financial leadership role;
Demonstrable experience in a comparable managerial finance position;
Hands-on “player-manager” mentality — able to combine strategic oversight with operational involvement;
Strong expertise in cash and working capital management;
Strong personality with excellent communication and coaching leadership skills;
Energy, drive and ambition — suited to a dynamic organisation with significant growth and development opportunities ahead;
Experience within external audit or accounting/advisory practice is considered an advantage;
Able to create structure, rhythm and ownership within a growing organisation;
Strong affinity with ICT, data intelligence and automation;
