An opportunity exists for a full-time, permanent, to join our state-of-the-art plant in Clara, Co Offaly. Having responsibility for overall management, direction and co-ordination of the plant finance function to optimise the accounting, forecasting and statutory reporting to acceptable quality. Reporting to the CFO Europe.
Key member of the site leadership team, supporting the plant Operations Director in day-to-day management and operation of the facility.
Provide both routine and proactive financial data to support the business
Provide analytical, interpretive, investigative and advisory services on business and commercial impact, including supporting the Operations Director as required.
Responsible for the integrity of the accounts and to ensure that the accounting function always operates in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and board policy.
Ensuring that the specific ledgers, records and books of accounts such as payroll records and proper expense distribution are maintained to satisfy company and governmental requirements
Liaison with Auditors to complete year end statutory accounts in a timely fashion as required and ensure that no major write-ups are received.
Work with third party advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion and filing of tax returns
Establishing annual budgets, monthly accounts, and weekly forecasts, in line with business requirements.
Overseeing the payroll team in administering salary, wage and benefit programs, and in ensuring that the company PAYE returns are correct
Develop and maintain effective programs so departmental KPI’s and budgets are monitored and controlled.
Assisting in the preparation of and review of project requests for all capital expenditure.
Communicate, motivate and develop subordinates through regular performance reviews including annual reviews, involvement in target setting and through routine exchanges.
Develop an understanding of product standard costs, working closely with the group costing team to ensure accuracy and understand impact on the business.
Carry out/manage any other projects or tasks as requested by the CFO Europe or Plant Ops Director from time to time.

The successful candidate will possess the following

Third level financial qualification required
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Previous project management skills required.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to information.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision.
Proven analytical thinking, results orientation and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills in handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously with high attention to details and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to communicate with a wide range of contacts from corporate to manufacturing employees – both oral and written.
