As a collaborative foreman, you lead a team while also working alongside them. You ensure everyone knows what needs to be done, that the work is carried out safely, and that the planning is followed. You communicate with both your team and management. You maintain oversight and step in to solve problems immediately when needed.
Often, your day starts with a short briefing for your team. Then, you assign tasks and check if the work is being done correctly. You monitor timing, safety, and quality. If something goes wrong, you intervene and think along for solutions. No two days are the same. Sometimes you're hands-on on the floor, other times you're answering questions from colleagues or discussing with clients. You're responsible, involved, and proactive when necessary.
