What will you do as Global Information Security Engineer?
As an Information Security Engineer you are part of a team which is responsible for the global IT at this company. You are responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining the measures this organisation takes for assuring information security. Interacting with IT professionals beyond and within the organisation it is part of the role. To stay aligned with the practices of their global IT infrastructure, you support the Global IT Infra team in different activities. You will report to the Global IT Director and work closely together with IT, OT and business colleagues across the globe.
Responsibilities: Setup and maintain the structure and tools for IT asset management. Guide IT Infra Engineers and OT engineers to maintain the content of inventory and report the inventory on periodic base. Research security threats and map these against the IT inventory, based on qualified threat sources. Execute the technical IT and OT risk assessment process and support mitigations, within IT as well as beyond IT. Run reports and provide security analysis of security tools, merge them to an overall security performance report /dashboard. Investigate security alerts, guide and monitor proper follow up. Assess requests for new solutions and /or change requests of existing solutions on the impact to information security. Advise on security awareness initiatives to match with actual and expected topics for the organisation. Participate in improvements to the information security -policies, -processes and –controls for both IT and OT. Assist in IT Infra projects and support.
General responsibilities: Completeness of IT inventory. Proper mapping of the organisation relevant threats against IT inventory. Quality in periodical InfoSec risk assessments. Availability of multi-level overview(s) of the status and performance of Information Security at the organisation, available to drive actions on operational level and report performance on Senior Management level. Proper follow up on security alerts within reaction times. Compliance to information security standards for new solutions- and change requests. Initiate updates & keep the documentation up to date.

HBO level of thinking and relevant experience in both IT infra, Information Security and preferably OT. Familiar with certifications (e.g. SSCP, CCSP, ISFS) or willing to study and conduct training. Experience in the use of threat sources such as Mitre attack matrix. Thorough knowledge of the technology in IT Infra (clients, servers, network, 2FA, vulnerability management, firewalls and other cyber security relevant topics). Structured, accurate and disciplined in planning and execution. Good communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to liaise with staff from both a technical and service perspective and articulate technical problems into “end user”. Experience in applying governance frameworks like Cobit, ITIL, ISO27001 and NIST. Preferably living in the south of The Netherlands.
