• €594,00 per day / ~€136k – €152k per year based on 46–48 billable weeks

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Operations Support Engineer to join an international environment. In this role, you will act as an expert supporting complex IT operations, working either on-site or in a hybrid setup.

You will be embedded within a technical team and collaborate closely with stakeholders across multiple domains, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage high-severity and complex incidents across interconnected systems, ensuring timely resolution and clear stakeholder communication

• Lead technical investigations, root cause analyses, and post-incident reviews, driving corrective and preventive actions

• Define and improve monitoring and observability strategies, including performance baselines and alerting thresholds

• Coordinate preventive maintenance and environment optimization, ensuring compliance with operational and security standards

• Validate deployment strategies, rollback procedures, and testing approaches in collaboration with DevSecOps and database teams

Your Profile

• Degree in IT or a related field

• 7+ years of experience in IT, including:

• Strong background in enterprise IT operations

• At least 3 years in a senior role managing complex incidents and problem investigations

• Proven experience with containerized and cloud-native environments

• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, Capacity Management)

• Hands-on experience with:

• Linux/Unix systems

• CI/CD tools (e.g. Git-based workflows, code quality tools)

• Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, Ansible)

• Containerization & orchestration (Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm)

• Monitoring & observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch)

• Experience with middleware and integration technologies, including APIs, messaging, and event streaming

• Strong skills in automation, scripting, and performance optimization

• Ability to perform capacity planning, trend analysis, and risk assessment

• Excellent communication and documentation skills, including leading incident calls and stakeholder updates

• Fluent in English
