This is what you will do
As an Air Import Agent, you are the operational engine behind our incoming air freight shipments. From the moment freight leaves the origin location overseas until final delivery to the end customer in Europe, you maintain full control of the process. Working closely with your team, Supervisor, and external stakeholders, you ensure all import operations run smoothly, accurately, and on schedule.
End-to-End Import Operations: Coordinate and execute day-to-day air freight import shipments from origin to destination.
Customer Service & Problem Solving: Act as the main operational point of contact for clients. Proactively communicate shipment updates, milestones, and delays, resolving non-routine issues efficiently.
Documentation & Data Integrity: Review and process shipping documentation (e.g., AWBs, customs documents, commercial invoices) and ensure precise data entry in CargoWise.
Financial Control & Billing: Prepare accurate shipment quotations, verify vendor billing, manage shipment margins, and ensure timely financial closing of files within company guidelines.
Compliance & Security: Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, TSA/VGB security guidelines, and Dangerous Goods regulations.

We are looking for a proactive professional with a high-performance mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of operational experience within air freight forwarding (specifically Air Import).
Background Check (VGB): Possess or be eligible to pass a Dutch VGB (Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar) security screening (mandatory requirement).
Systems: Proficiency in CargoWise is highly preferred; solid PC skills (MS Office) are required.
Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory. Proficiency in Dutch is a strong asset.
Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, customer-focused, and a true team player with a “get-it-done” attitude.

Salary: A competitive gross monthly salary ranging from €2,800 to €3,500+ (based on full-time employment and experience level).
