Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience at Swisslog Healthcare
Swisslog Healthcare offers an advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) elective rotation to students pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In cooperation with accredited Schools of Pharmacy, the Swisslog Healthcare APPE offers a rare opportunity to step beyond traditional clinical practice and experience how pharmacy, automation, and healthcare technology come together to improve patient care. Students gain handson exposure to cuttingedge automation solutions while working alongside experts across the business. Activities will involve a variety of departments including Pharmacy Affairs, Product Management, Marketing and Project Management. The rotation is supervised by an experienced pharmacist with an extensive background in pharmacy practice and industry.

Medication safety and workflow optimization
Industry, product development, or non-traditional pharmacy careers

Students are based at the North American Headquarters in Westminster, Colorado, located between Denver and Boulder.
The student is responsible for transportation, housing, and all other expenses association with the rotation. Swisslog Healthcare does not provide a stipend or salary with the rotation.
Postdoctoral Pharmacy Fellowship: The Swisslog Healthcare One-Year program offers a unique opportunity for PharmD graduates to develop expertise at the intersection of pharmacy practice, healthcare technology, medication safety, automation, and healthcare innovation. The fellowship builds upon the longstanding Swisslog Healthcare commitment to pharmacy education, including student experiential programs and university partnerships.

We can proudly say that we regularly host interns across multiple functional areas in our business including project management, marketing, legal and more! Among the multiple departments that regularly host interns, we recently celebrated our 45th pharmacy student having worked with the Swisslog Healthcare project management team. With us, both students and young professionals gain the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s brightest senior leaders all while applying their skills toward customer implementations of pharmacy automation solutions. As a result, each intern or young professional’s experience is relevant and unique, laying a perfect foundation for a future in healthcare. Extraordinary internships start with eager students.
