Client is looking for a Quality Lead

Project Type: Mining & Metals

Location: Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia

Requirements/Qualification

• 11+ years of experience in Quality Management within
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Metallurgical, Mining, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
• SQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification preferred.
• FEED Quality Management

Preferred Experience

• Large-scale Mining & Metals projects.
• Mineral Processing and Beneficiation Plants.
• Copper, Gold, Phosphate, Lithium, or Aluminum projects.
• Smelters, Refineries, and Concentrators.
• EPC/EPCM project delivery environments.
• Greenfield and Brownfield industrial developments.
• Experience in KSA/GCC projects, preferably with Ma'aden or major international mining operators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all QA/QC activities for Mining & Metals projects throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases.
• Develop and implement Project Quality Management Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures in line with client and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, project specifications, and industry best practices for mining, mineral processing, smelting, and refining facilities.
• Manage quality oversight for process plants, concentrators, beneficiation facilities, material handling systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Lead supplier and contractor quality audits, inspections, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Oversee NCR management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate quality activities related to welding, NDT, mechanical equipment, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Interface with clients, EPC/EPCM teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities on all quality-related matters.
• Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports to drive project performance and risk mitigation.
• Lead quality teams and promote a culture of quality excellence, safety, and right-first-time execution across Mining & Metals projects.
