Junior Quant Trader

As a Junior Quant Trader you will combine quantitative analysis, programming and market research to develop systematic trading and risk-management strategies across agricultural commodity markets. You will turn large market datasets into actionable trading insights and support both proprietary trading and commercial risk management. The role gives hands-on experience building models, backtesting strategies and automating analysis using Python and SQL. There is a clear development path toward Quant Trader or Commodity Derivatives Trader within an international, collaborative team.
Develop and improve quantitative models and pricing tools for futures, options, spreads and OTC products
Analyze large market datasets and research new data sources to identify trading opportunities and enhance forecasts
Build, backtest and monitor systematic trading strategies using historical and real-time market data
Automate market analysis, reporting and trade monitoring using Python and data libraries
Support commercial and derivatives traders with quantitative analysis, pricing support and risk analytics
Develop forecasting models for prices, volatility and market fundamentals and continuously refine model performance

Hold a Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related analytical field
Demonstrate a strong interest in commodity markets, quantitative finance and systematic trading
Understand derivatives (futures, options, swaps) or be willing to learn as an advantage
Use Python and data libraries such as Pandas, NumPy and SciPy for analysis and automation
Work with SQL and large datasets and apply statistical, optimization or machine learning techniques
Display strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to commercial colleagues and have excellent command of English
