Our sales department is made up of Ian Tossell, Nick Cinderey and Graeme Smith. Between them, they have wealth of experience in the agricultural sector.
The goal of the sales team is to improve the financial and social wellbeing of our customers.
Ian has been working for Lely since 2006 and has worked all over the world with a variety of different systems. This experience includes work in the design of barn and grazing systems. He has the expertise and knowledge to help you get the most from your herd.
Simon joined Lely in September 2025 as Group Sales Manager for Lely Centers Holsworthy and Yeovil and brings decades of agricultural experience to his role, along with a passion for innovation and customer-focused solutions.
Prior to joining Lely, Simon held senior roles across the dairy industry, including Sales Manager for GEA Farm Technologies and Country Manager for Waikato Milking Systems, overseeing operations in both the UK and South Africa. His extensive background spans technical, sales, and business ownership roles within major dairy equipment manufacturers, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry and its evolving needs.
With a National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Simon began his journey in agri-engineering before transitioning to the dairy industry in his early twenties. Today, he continues to bring a blend of technical insight and commercial leadership to his work.
Simon was drawn to Lely by its strong reputation for reliability and innovation in the automated milking systems (AMS) sector. He is particularly inspired by the Astronaut A5 Next, due to its cutting-edge design and functionality. He also sees the Vector feeding system as a natural next step for farmers seeking to save labour and improve feeding efficiency.
Simon lives in Somerset with his wife Nashanta and their three sons — Corrie, Owen, and Mason — in a barn they converted themselves. Outside of work, Simon is always tackling a DIY project, and enjoys motorbikes, shooting, and watching rugby. As a family, they share a love of travel and make it a tradition to explore a new part of the world each year.
Graeme's background is in animal nutrition and animal health having started his career with a national feed company back in 1993, after graduating from Harper Adams. He spent the decade before joining Lely Center Yeovil working for a global animal health business. He enjoys using his skills and experience to support existing customers and to assist farmers making the transition to automatic milking and feeding.
