Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Our client develops and produces control systems for ventilation and heating systems for the residential OEM industry and are a market leader within this segment.
You will work in a team of over 20 architects and engineers, which are divided over several scrum teams. Within these scrum teams agile methodologies and tools are used. In general the teams are working on various activities at the same time.
### **What you are going to do**

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer you

• Help the team to fully understand the product requirements in the form of user stories and clarify those with stakeholders and/or customers.
• Translate the product requirements (stories) into working code. Make sure that the work done by you and the team lives up to our standards, that you help bring to the next level.
• Take the lead when it comes to improving the team’s way of working in general, but with regards to test automation in particular.
• Work with other senior software engineers and system architects to continuously evaluate and improve the way we develop products as an organization.
• Coach other team members to improve their way of working.

### **What is expected of you**
We are looking for a senior software engineer with the following experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering study, such as computer science, electrical engineering or mathematics.
• A minimum of five-years of experience in a comparable embedded software working environment.
• You are experienced in programming in C and preferably have knowledge of and experience in C#, Python or JavaScript.
• Embedded design incorporating sensors, connectivity and networking, IoT/Smart Home, and/or security. Experience with automated test development for embedded software. ISTQB certification is preferred.
• Working in an agile/scrum environment.
• Experience in climate and ventilation systems is preferred.
