Creating meaningful products from start to finish together
As an embedded software engineer, you will design high-quality software for embedded systems in domains in which we are active. Currently, 2M’s focus is on wearables, medical devices and industrial and environmental sensors / IoT solutions. Sensor products and solutions that contribute to a healthier, cleaner and safer world.
You will be involved in the full development process and challenged to actively contribute to work with the team to create the best possible products for our customers and own 2M products. If you have experience with PC software and web/app/cloud in addition to embedded software then that is a bonus. We collaborate with other software companies in this but take complete technical responsibility. In order to make good estimates, extensive knowledge and experience in these areas is essential.

You work on one or more innovative projects. Together we look what makes you happy, which projects and way of working suits you best with sufficient technical challenge and new things to learn. This can be a broadening or deepening in the technical field but also at the organizational level. We try to work with a small team in a better and smarter way, doing core tasks ourselves and/or seeking cooperation in other (software) areas. We are looking for someone who actively wants to shape and direct this and has enough experience to oversee the entire software field.

What knowledge and experience do you need to bring?
Minimum of a completed Master’s degree in the field of technical computer science/(embedded) software engineering/computer science or similar;
Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience as an embedded software developer;
Experience with the embedded programming languages C++ and C;
Knowledge of hardware and specific processors (ARM);
Experience with Linux and preferably one of the other operating systems such as: Android or an embedded (RT) OS and you like to write device drivers for these;
Knowledge of various (soft) cores and wireless techniques;
Experience with working on a project basis and familiar with the Scrum/Agile methodologies;

What makes us extra happy?
