OT Cybersecurity Architect

For the development and commissioning of the PALLAS Reactor, we are looking for an experienced IT/OT Cybersecurity Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding the development, integration, and implementation of cybersecurity within the Operational Technology (OT) environment of the PALLAS Reactor.

You will operate at the intersection of OT, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and nuclear safety. Your responsibility will be to ensure that cybersecurity is fully integrated into the architecture and technical implementation of the reactor and production environment, from the design phase through to commissioning.

In this role, you will work on cybersecurity within an environment where availability, integrity, safety, and security are all of critical importance. You will have the opportunity to approach cybersecurity not merely as an IT issue, but as an integral part of the architecture and lifecycle of a nuclear installation.

The role therefore requires someone who can think both strategically and architecturally, while also possessing sufficient technical depth to effectively assess and guide cybersecurity challenges within complex OT environments.

This is a challenging architecture role for an experienced OT cybersecurity professional who wants to apply their expertise within a unique nuclear environment.

As an OT Cybersecurity Architect, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding:

• The integration of cybersecurity into the digital enterprise strategy of the PALLAS Reactor for the production environments.
• The integration of PALLAS Reactor OT systems with the PALLAS cybersecurity reference architecture and associated Cyber Security Support systems.
• Guiding the full lifecycle of cybersecurity solutions, including: acquisition; onboarding; installation; integration; testing; acceptance; commissioning.
• Ensuring the secure integration of OT systems within the PALLAS Reactor and their connection to IT business systems.
• Assessing and guiding cybersecurity aspects throughout the onboarding, installation, integration, testing, acceptance, and commissioning of these connections.
• Applying cybersecurity principles within critical security and safety systems.
• Ensuring alignment between the cybersecurity architecture, OT architecture, and the broader enterprise architecture.
• Supporting design decisions and translating cybersecurity requirements into concrete architectural and integration solutions.

De kern van NRG PALLAS ligt bij het uitvoeren van een duidelijk afgebakende dienstverlening voor burgers, organisaties of publieke opdrachtgevers. Betrouwbaarheid van de dienstverlening vraagt om zorgvuldige processen, actuele kennis en een professionele ondersteuning van medewerkers binnen NRG PALLAS. Binnen NRG PALLAS is samenwerking nodig tussen vakspecialisten en ondersteunende functies die systemen, mensen, middelen en besluitvorming mogelijk maken. Daardoor raken verbeterprogramma’s vaak zowel de dienstverlening als de interne organisatie binnen NRG PALLAS. Voor NRG PALLAS zorgen technologische en maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen voor een voortdurende behoefte aan vernieuwing van dienstverlening en werkprocessen. Dat maakt continue verbetering een vast onderdeel van de manier waarop de organisatie werkt binnen NRG PALLAS. Binnen NRG PALLAS betekent dit dat medewerkers voortdurend moeten schakelen tussen inhoudelijke kwaliteit, praktische uitvoering en samenwerking met de omgeving.

Functie eisen

• TOGAF and ArchiMate certification, or at least 8 years of demonstrable equivalent experience in enterprise/system architecture

• At least 8 years of demonstrable experience implementing cybersecurity within critical infrastructure

• Experience in a highly regulated environment - At least 5 years of experience as an architect within the nuclear sector

• Fluent in English

• The proposed candidate is employed by the bidder. (due to the nature of the role, self employed is not allowed)

Wensen

• Demonstrable experience in OT cybersecurity within critical infrastructure.

• Experience in the nuclear sector and complex OT environments.

• Proven knowledge and application of IEC 62443.

• Experience with cybersecurity architecture, system integration, and lifecycle management.

• TOGAF and/or ArchiMate certification or equivalent experience.

• Valid VGB-B security clearance.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Ability to connect cybersecurity, OT, IT, enterprise architecture, and nuclear safety

• Work experience as OT Cybersecurity Architect - At least 8 years of demonstrable experience implementing cybersecurity within critical infrastructure. Evaluation will be based on the information in the CV

• Experience in highly regulated environment - Does the candidate have experience in major capital projects/highly regulated environment (e.g. nuclear, infrastructure, or industrial projects) and experience applying IEC 62443 in OT/industrial environments. Evaluation will be based on the information in the CV

• Does the candidate hold any TOGAF and ArchiMate certification, or at least 8 years of demonstrable equivalent experience in enterprise/system architecture. Evaluation will be based on the information in the CV
