The Design Engineer is responsible for developing advanced composite products for various customers and markets. The engineer ensures the structural design lays the foundation for a successful composite product that meets all customer requirements.
Develop optimized composite solutions in terms of performance, cost, manufacturability, time to market and product quality. Work with relevant design tools and possess deep knowledge of composite design methodologies. Provide guidance or coaching to other professionals. Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and customer teams.
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Automotive Engineering. Strong in-depth knowledge of composites, including modelling composite laminates using FEA and other relevant methods. Significant experience with FEA software (e.g., FEMAP, NASTRAN). Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
