ProfiNRG is expanding rapidly in the field of large-scale solar and BESS projects. To support this growth, we are looking for a Senior Grid Connection Engineer – MV/HV.
In this role, you will take technical responsibility for grid connection engineering within our projects. You will work on medium-voltage and high-voltage grid connection solutions, from concept and feasibility through to engineering, commissioning and handover.
We are looking for someone who already has direct experience of MV/HV grid connection projects. You have a practical understanding of substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, SLDs, grid interfaces and utility requirements.
Develop and review MV/HV grid connection designs;
Prepare and review SLDs, protection strategies, equipment layouts and technical specifications;
Translate customer, project and grid operator requirements into practical engineering solutions;
Coordinate technical interfaces with grid operators, customers, contractors and suppliers;
Advise project teams on technical solutions, risks, reliability and constructability;
Support supplier reviews, FAT, SAT, commissioning, energisation and handover;
Ensure compliance with grid codes, utility requirements and international standards.

You are technically proficient, practical and able to work independently. You know how to review, challenge and improve designs, and you are comfortable working with both engineers and project stakeholders.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or a related field;
At least 3 years’ direct experience in MV and/or HV grid connection engineering;
Experience in industrial, utility-scale, renewable energy or infrastructure projects;
A thorough understanding of electrical power systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems and grid interfaces;
Experience with SLDs, technical specifications and engineering documentation;
Strong English communication skills. Dutch would be an advantage.

Experience with solar power, battery energy storage systems (BESS), utility substations, protection relays, SCADA, substation automation or suppliers such as Siemens, Schneider Electric or ABB is a strong advantage.
Annual company bonus of up to one gross monthly salary;
28 days’ holiday per year based on full-time employment;
