About the job
You will work at the intersection of back-end development, cloud technology, and DevOps. Together with front-end developers, software engineers, and specialists in infrastructure, identity, and cybersecurity, you will create future-proof solutions for both our customers and internal users.
Working in a modern DevOps environment, you will leverage technologies such as C#, .NET, REST APIs, SQL, Azure, Git, and CI/CD. Depending on your experience, you may join as a junior, medior, or senior professional, with opportunities to further specialize in software architecture, cloud engineering, security, or technical leadership.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop back-end software, APIs, and integrations with underlying systems.
• Translate functional requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure software quality, security, privacy, and maintainability.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and automation processes.
• Monitor application availability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other technical disciplines to continuously improve digital solutions.
• For senior professionals: provide technical leadership in architecture, establish development standards, and mentor colleagues.

What you can expect

• A gross monthly salary between €4,000 and €6,500, based on a full-time 40-hour workweek and depending on your knowledge and experience.
• 27 vacation days and 13 additional leave days (ADV) in accordance with the Metalektro collective labor agreement.
• The option to “sell” unused ADV days each year.
• A fixed monthly commuting allowance of €0.25 per kilometer.
• A solid pension plan with PME, with 50% of the contributions covered by Royal Houdijk.

What you bring
You combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic mindset and take ownership of the quality and reliability of your work. You are capable of working independently while actively collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key qualifications

• Bachelor's degree level (HBO) or equivalent, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with, or a strong interest in, C#, .NET, REST APIs, SQL, and data modeling.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure software development practices.
• Experience with Azure, containers, monitoring, logging, and cloud technologies is considered an advantage.
• Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and cybersecurity principles.
• Quality-focused, communicative, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Providing a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) may be part of the application process.
