Over deze vacature
Your role
Ingram Micro is seeking a Director, Accelerated Compute to lead its global relationship with NVIDIA and the OEM strategy built around it. Central to the work is building strong working relationships with NVIDIA's OEM alliances teams, the dedicated contacts covering Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, the hyperscalers and other partners, and with the OEMs and their teams, so that Ingram Micro is part of the conversation early. Responsibilities include developing AI go-to-market strategies and programs with these partners that take NVIDIA-based solutions to market through Ingram Micro's channel, and supporting, monitoring, and steering their execution at the local level. Success is measured by growth of the accelerated compute business and the pipeline behind it. A hybrid of business and technical leadership rather than a pure business role, the position requires deep knowledge of the AI ecosystem and technology stack.
The preferred location for this position is Buffalo, New York, home to Ingram Micro’s U.S. Sales headquarters, and Irvine, California, Ingram Micro’s World Headquarters. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. Highly qualified candidates located near other Ingram Micro offices within the United States may also be considered. The position includes regular regional travel to NVIDIA, OEM, and occasional international travel.
Silicon Vendor Relationship Management
- Serve as the global business lead for NVIDIA and primary liaison to vendor leaders at the C-level and VP-level, managing the relationships, business planning, and strategic escalations
- Build and execute multi-year Joint Business Plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendor-assigned leaders
- Govern performance and fund utilization of vendor-funded programs focused on AI growth, infrastructure adoption, and profitability
- Negotiate vendor program terms, funding, and incentives, including co-investment where applicable
- Track and report monthly performance (revenue, profit, and KPIs) to the Global Executive Director for AI, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic motions
- Drive internal and external alignment around Quality of Revenue (QoR) metrics for the vendors under management
OEM Strategy & Go-to-Market
- Own Ingram Micro's OEM strategy for NVIDIA-based AI infrastructure, covering Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, the hyperscalers, and other OEM and platform partners as the strategy evolves
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with NVIDIA's OEM alliances teams and the people who cover each OEM, as well as with the OEMs' own NVIDIA teams, so that Ingram Micro's role in each joint motion is clear and valued
- Work with these teams to define the AI go-to-market strategies and programs for each OEM, including where Ingram Micro adds the most value and how its channel partners are brought into the motion
- Turn each strategy into programs that regional and country teams can run, with clear targets and owners, then support, monitor, and steer execution at the local level by reviewing pipeline and results with country teams, removing blockers, and adjusting or escalating when needed
- Work alongside the teams that own each OEM relationship at Ingram Micro, so that the OEM strategy adds to those relationships and does not duplicate them
- Act as Ingram Micro's business and technical voice with NVIDIA and OEM teams, with enough depth in the AI technology stack to hold credible discussions with their engineers
Growth & Performance
- Drive growth of the accelerated compute business across NVIDIA (AMD, Intel) and OEM programs, against agreed targets
- Build and maintain a clear pipeline of accelerated compute opportunities with OEMs and country teams, and report progress, conversion, and risks on a regular cadence
Organizational Coordination
- Collaborate with Director-level peers across countries and solution areas to ensure consistency and maturity in local execution of NVIDIA and OEM programs, including planning and expansion in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM
- Work with the North America AI Solutions team, the first route to market for new strategies, and with the sales, technical enablement, and marketing teams that deliver field execution
- Work with Global Enable AI so that NVIDIA and OEM programs reach partners at scale and every related engagement is recorded under Enable AI
- Work with any colleagues who own related silicon vendor relationships so that Ingram Micro presents a consistent position to each OEM
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 7 + years in high-stakes, high-complexity technical go-to-market roles
- Senior-level experience in global vendor management, strategic alliances, or partner GTM leadership
- Strong commercial negotiation skills, with experience negotiating complex agreements with vendors and OEMs
- Deep understanding of the AI ecosystem and technology stack, from accelerators, servers, and networking through AI software platforms and applications, and of how those layers come together into customer solutions and business outcomes, with credibility among both executives and engineers
- Demonstrated success managing complex vendor and OEM relationships, co-funding models, and global execution - NVIDIA (AMD, Intel) & OEM Alliances
- Proven track record of engaging VP-level executives at vendors and OEMs, building trust and influence with senior counterparts
- Executive-level communication and reporting skills, including performance tracking
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of how NVIDIA-based systems are configured, sold, and supported through OEMs
- Experience in an OEM alliances team at a vendor, OEM, or distributor
- Familiarity with vendor partner models, rebate programs, and planning cycles
- Understanding of how IT distribution works with OEMs and resellers
