“Joining Nokia has allowed me to apply what I learned in university to real-world projects. Every day I face new challenges that push me to grow, and the open, collaborative culture makes the transition from student to professional smooth and truly inspiring. ”
“Starting as a co-op at Nokia gave me the best head start. The onboarding was smooth, and the excellent work environment made me feel like part of the team from day one. Having a mentor to guide me turned the learning curve into a natural progression. The best part is that your ideas are treated with the same respect as a senior engineer’s.”
“My co-op terms at Nokia were where I saw my greatest personal and professional growth. I was surrounded by brilliant mentors and a culture that constantly pushed me to think outside the box. Returning full-time, I am excited to continue learning and evolving alongside the brilliant mentors I now call my peers.”
“Starting my career at Nokia has been both exciting and rewarding. As a Jr. Project Coordinator on the OIC project, I’ve taken on meaningful responsibilities much sooner than I expected, supported by leaders who genuinely want to see early career employees grow. The experience has pushed me to learn quickly, gain confidence, and contribute to work that truly matters. The culture here values teamwork, new perspectives, and continuous learning.”

Can I apply to multiple roles?
Yes, please apply to the role(s) that align with both your interests and skill set. You will be evaluated against the requirements for each role and may interview for different roles at the same time.
Can I apply for a student position even if I'm not enrolled in a co-op program?
A co-op program combines academic study with work experience, while an internship is a work experience program. At Nokia, we hire both under the same program, and work with your post-secondary institution to ensure your work experience is relevant to your education regardless of whether you are a co-op student or intern.
Should I apply for a student position or wait to apply for a full-time role?
If you have an opportunity during your college or university studies, we recommend applying for an internship to gain valuable work experience and learn first-hand what it’s like to work at Nokia, but we still welcome direct applications to full-time roles.
When can I apply for new grad positions?
We don’t have a hiring cycle for new grad positions. These positions are posted as opportunities become available. At Nokia, we can make an offer for a new grad role up to one year in advance of graduation. If you are graduating within the year, please apply directly to the posting anytime you see a new grad position that interests you.
Is there an application deadline for student positions?
We suggest that both interns and co-ops follow our timeline of applying 4-6 months in advance of their desired work term. For full-time positions, posting deadlines can be found on the job posting.
Where can I find the status of my application? When will I hear back from Nokia?
You can see the status of your application in the candidate portal. If you applied for a role, check the status of your application. Our student recruitment cycle runs for a few months after it is officially posted. We review applications throughout the year on a rolling basis and will contact you directly if we are interested in moving forward with your candidacy. If you are not selected, you will be notified once the position is filled.
Do you have longer than 4 months placements for students?
Yes, you can find the duration of each position in the job description. Please keep in mind that even though the position is for 4 months, we can potentially offer extensions to stay for additional terms, and we have a high ratio of returning students.
Do you offer Part-time positions?
Yes. Typically, our part-time students work anywhere from 20-28 hours per week. However, most of these positions are extending or returning students. If you are joining Nokia for the first time, it is likely you will be hired for a full-time student opportunity, with the option to stay part-time following your term.
